AT HOME – Host an Event

Become a DIG Global Ambassador

Advance DIG’s Mission From Your Home

DIG is looking for Global Ambassadors to advance our mission AT HOME.

Ambassadors recognize the hope DIG offers the world and can be a part of growing that at home.  In the way our Local Facilitators bring DIG’s work to farmers in Uganda, Senegal, and Kenya, you can bring DIG to your community by hosting an AT HOME event.

Whether you choose to host an in-person or virtual event, we will support you with the information and collateral you need to make it a purposeful gathering, a successful fundraiser, and a great night.

Why Host an Event

Cocktails & Castoffs is an invitation to deepen our knowledge around some of the world’s most pressing issues while joyfully awakening our agency to make a positive impact. Climate change, international conflict, broken food chains and other complex global challenges can quickly leave our heads spinning and our hope faltering.

Ambassadors set the table, raise awareness, weave connection, and inspire action at home and around the world.

These individuals have proven themselves vital to DIG’s growing success and we celebrate them.

We’ll Be With You All the Way

It’s your party and we’re here to make it fun and meaningful.

Our support can take on many forms:

  • suggesting menus and recipes
  • facilitating a virtual or in-person presentation from DIG’s Executive Director, Sarah Koch
  • providing videos to show during your gathering
  • designing invitations and printed collateral
  • offering unique DIG-branded party embellishments
  • broadening your guest list by inviting others to celebrate with you

**A Generous Donor is Contributing $1,000 to DIG for Every Ambassador Who Hosts an Event.**

Everything raised through your Cocktails & Castoffs AT HOME gathering will be tax-deductible and support From the Ground Up, a campaign to fully equip DIG’s team of Local Facilitators as they grow and adapt DIG’s programs where they are needed most.

These women and men work with the most marginalized members of their communities to prepare them to become key contributors to their families and their broader society by growing more resilient local food systems.
