2017 DIG Adventure Trip with the Batwa in Southern Uganda

Each year Development in Gardening (DIG) organizes one opportunity to work hand in hand with our communities on the ground and visit some of the most beautiful sites in East Africa.

This past August’s trip was especially unique. Taking place in the “Pearl of Africa,” Uganda, we worked alongside one of the worlds most culturally rich yet extremely vulnerable communities, the Batwa. It was the perfect opportunity to get your hands dirty in DIG’s newest gardens while also including an equally rare opportunity to trek the endangered mountain gorillas.

It was an inspiring trip for all of those involved including our staff and farmers. Take a look at some of the photos from the adventure.
