1 million trees in the next 20 years.

One tree can provide many harvests. For twenty years, farmers in Kenya, Uganda, and Senegal have shown that healthy food systems grow from local knowledge, local leadership, and local action. DIG’s Plant a Legacy initiative invites you to be part of what grows next. Each tree is chosen alongside local farmers and community leaders, planted where it can best serve the people caring for it, and tended with agroecological practices that restore soil, support biodiversity, and put nutritious food on the table.

A tree is a patient gift.

A tree’s impact deepens season after season, long after the day it goes into the ground, and its harvests belong to the communities who raise it.

Plant a tree in honor of a mentor, a friend, or someone you love, and they’ll receive its exact planting location: a living tribute that keeps growing for generations. Twenty years in, DIG’s roots are strong. Be part of DIG’s next twenty.
