Invite Your Guests With No Expectations

Because this event is free to join, it’s easy to invite guests with no expectation to give.

Encouraging friends and family to experience the event and learn about DIG BEFORE they make a decision to give is a great way to introduce new people to our work.

If you’d like to extend a no-obligation invitation, here are some ways to do it:

Sample Personal Email:

Dear Friends and Family,

{create a personalized greeting}

I wanted to share with you an opportunity to get involved with an organization I have been personally supporting for many years, Development in Gardening (DIG).

DIG focuses on developing regenerative gardens to improve the nutrition and livelihoods of some of the world’s most uniquely vulnerable people. Everything they do is rooted in food and community, and I believe it’s more important than ever to support organizations committed to restoring the health of our bodies, our communities, and the planet.

On Sunday October 23rd, DIG is live-streaming their Cocktails and Castoffs AT HOME event. I’m hosting a virtual fundraising table to support their work and would love for you to join me. Here’s a link to my “table” {insert fundraising page link}.

While I am trying to raise $$$ to support DIG’s work, I would love to invite you as my guest with no expectation to donate.  If, after you learn more about DIG’s work, you feel so moved to give, my campaign will remain live for a few weeks after the event ends.

I’d love to share more on how you can tune-in and enjoy the event with me. Please let me know if you’re interested. The program and chef line-up this year is pretty outstanding.
